U.S. Toll in Iraq:
3,501 members of the U.S. military

San Francisco Chronicle 9jun2007

As of Friday, at least 3,501 members of the U.S. military had died in Iraq since the beginning of the war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The latest identifications reported by the military:

Mindfully.org note:
Once again we must remind readers that a large number of nonmilitary contractors — mercenaries and others — have also died, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians killed and children who have been born dead or worse because of DU. They all have the U.S. government, under the direction of none other than George W. Bush to blame for getting us into this war under false pretenses — COSTLY LIES! Our children and elderly at home also suffer from the drain on the economy with many programs lacking funding, schools closing, a scarcity teachers, and so on.
