Abu Ghraib

From Saddam to Bush

Nothing good should be expected from racists, crusaders, gays and perverts

Hundreds of Iraqis who have relatives being held in the prison of Abu Ghraib demanded to see their loved ones, after the release of pictures showing prisoners allegedly being humiliated by their US captors. – AP Last update on: 3-5-2004

On Wednesday last week and on this page we said that Bush sent his troops to Baghdad to overthrow Saddam Hussein and to install him as the new leader of Iraq. After succeeding in overthrowing Saddam, Bush seized all Saddam’s properties and inherited everything Saddam had, including his torturing tools and methods. In that article we also listed some examples of torturing methods and tools. What we did not mention were two things – inheriting Abu Ghraib’s prison and that Bush has added to those torturing tools, new US-made torturing tools, techniques, methods and policies.

Bush who, through his spokespersons and propagandists, condemned Saddam’s treatment of prisoners and criticised his prisons considering them lacking minimum safety and security requirements, used Saddam’s main prison to jail Iraqis who oppose his invasion and occupation of Iraq. The cells, which were criticised by Bush and his mouthpieces are now used by Bush for jailing Iraqis who oppose the plundering and looting of the wealth of their country. The torturing rooms, which were exposed to the whole world to highlight Saddam’s barbaric behaviour are now used by Bush and his soldiers to exercise their sick, sadistic and inhuman behaviour. Electrical torturing tools that were used by Saddam and were shown to the people of the world by American and international television stations are now shown by the same television stations but as tools used by American soldiers torturing their Iraqi prisoners.

What we did not mention in that article also was that as Saddam was not strong militarily as Bush and did not have the sophisticated equipment and weapons Bush has, he also did not have the latest torturing techniques, methods and policies Bush has. As Saddam’s arsenal did not include the type, decisiveness and the goodness of weapons Bush has, he also did not have the type and the badness of torturing methods Bush has. Saddam had soldiers who most of them were forced to fight on his side and torture prisoners as he ordered them, while most, perhaps the majority of Bush’s soldiers believe in the correctness of their fight, including the killing, torturing and raping their prisoners. The majority of Saddam’s soldiers were Iraqi people and Muslims who harbour good feelings towards their fellow Iraqis and Muslims, while Bush’s soldiers came to Iraqi fed with their boss’s hate of Islam and Muslims. Saddam used his army to defend his reign while Bush has been using his army to eliminate Islam, Muslims and Islamic teachings and values.

Bush was correct when he said that what is happening at Abu Ghraib prison was not of the American customs, but that was correct before allowing the gays and perverts to join the army. Since those irregular men and women were allowed to serve in the army the quality of the American army and the level of its morals have been declining very badly. It is the human nature that makes good seeds grow good trees, nicely raised men and women means good behaviour and morals and the opposite is correct. When a gay, a pervert man or woman and/or a sadist practise his or her sick habits while serving his or her country, he or she must not be blamed for what he or she did. It is his/her government that should be blamed for recruiting such irregular men and women to serve and represent their country. Those irregular men and women did not deceive their employers. They did not tell their recruiters one thing and did the opposite. They were recruited as they are and the employer knew of who they are, what they do, how they behave and how they act. Therefore, it is the Pentagon and the US government who should be blamed and held responsible for what happened and still happening at Abu Ghraib’s prison and other prisons in occupied Iraq.

In addition, Washington is the only government in the whole world that does not learn from its mistakes. Its arrogance makes it believe that it does not do mistakes. What is happening in Iraqi prisons is not the first of its kind in the life of the American army, and definitely will not be the last. Similar things happened in the past in Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Philippine and many other places. It was true that most of those cases were rapes of prisoners and were not as horrible as what is happening in Iraq now, but they were crimes committed by American soldiers against helpless people. They were crimes that took place over a period of time and that some of the families of the victims of those crimes had the courage to sue the US army and many did not. The reason that what happened in the past was not as horrible as what is happening now in Iraq is that there were not gays, perverts and irregular people serving in the American army then.

However, such violations by Americans in uniform have been happening since long time and Washington did not take a single measure to prevent it from occurring again. On the contrary, it believes that its men and women in uniform have the right to violate any divine and human law. It has been protecting those criminals and justifying their wrongdoings and bad conduct, and this leads us to mentioning the last, but not least reason for the recurring of such barbaric actions, which is passing a law that prevents the trial or even questioning soldiers for the crimes they commit outside their country.

That law which was passed during this extreme and racist administration gave the green light to the American soldiers, who, as we said before, include many irregular people, to carry out their sick practices and fear no punishment or even being questioned. What happened at Abu Ghraib prison was not the first of its kind since Bush soldiers entered Iraq. There were more horrible incidents which took place in Iraq, and are taking place until now, but because they were not filmed and not shown on televisions, they did not have the same sympathy and solidarity the latest atrocities enjoyed. What happened at Abu Ghraib prison, as horrible as it is, is not as bad as kidnapping 18-20 years old Iraqi girls from their houses, taking them to the marches and raping them. What happened at Abu Ghraib prison is not as horrible as beating unclothed old man until death. And the list of comparison goes on and on.

We are not talking here about rare incidents that can be handled and treated. We are talking about the nature of an imperialist, immoral, racist and crusader President who should be driven out of Iraq and a corrupted, immoral, barbaric and impure army that should be forced to end its occupation of a sacred Islamic territory.
