Why British Beef is safe

UK National Farmers Union undated (April 1996 ±)

1. All parts of all cattle that could be infected by BSE are removed and destroyed.

2. All cattle showing signs of BSE are destroyed

3. The cases of SE in British cattle havee fallen rapidly since 1992.

4. There is no scientific proof that BSE can be transmitted to man by beef.

5. In countries where BSE does not exist CJD incidence is similar to UK

6. BSE controls are stricter than doctors and scientists recommend. You can eat beef with confidence.

This document is handed out by NFU and, no matter how misleading its data, the NFU probably believe it as being the whole truth
